Like an orchestra, each of our senses forms a symphony of everyday experience
We are constantly processing sensory information. With every input, our brains translate that experience into information our other senses can process. Cross-Modal Translation (CMT) is how we can assume the taste of baking bread through its smell or assume the texture of a surface
through sight.
By studying this process of translating sensory inputs, we can create more meaningful, cohesive, and compelling multi-sensory design solutions.
